I would for sure , it’ll save the “ HELP I’ve got a weird rumbling noise coming from the bottom end” post at some point !! LOL !!

I'll be checking oil level first thing. I have been round the block a few times. Rolleyes

I wasn't referring to your maintenance skills katdude, my apologies if you thought I was, it's the need for 3 hands ( 2 for holding the bike and another to shine the torch) to simultaneously balance the bike upright whilst bending over to view the oil window, that I was highlighting. Lol  It's a pain ! But as Gdogg says, vitally important to do during the first months of ownership as some use little oil and some use quite a lot.

Yes, I've gathered it's a bit of a pig with the TDM, but I'll sort it out! Huh

Think USB endoscope, cheap off Ebay and run on android, gotta be easier for oil checking.

i've seen a simple LED lamp near the oil sight glass, that way you can at least see what's there as normally have to use a torch

Hello!

I'm 27 years old, from the Netherlands and I'm the proud new owner of a 2007 TDM 900.

This is my first bike and I started riding because i got very excited about the idea of traveling on it.

I was considering the vstrom for a while but in the end I preferred the TDM!

So far I'm absolutely in love with it and can't wait to do some touring.

It came with a complete set of Givi panniers, thinking of adding some crash protection but it all ready to go!
