Mitch (Avonne) has just pioneered a repleacement rear for the 900 from Hagon, G......about £255 for the basic version
plus another £195 for remote adjustment he said.
(Of course, the smug B*stard got his remote free for being the test pilot)

Fournales because air is a better spring medium than metal, less unsprung weight and cos it works really well under ALL conditions. Got to say that they went through a spell of bad ram tube quality but I sent mine back after a 18 months and it was totally rebuilt with new parts and is performing perfectly with no air loss.

I think it's around £400 with the remote cell for two up riding [Image: good.gif]

I've got an Ohlins on my MK2, and I've had a Hagon. I got the Hagon for my first 850 because the standard shock was nackered, it is a really good bit of kit. When I got my second 850 I decided to try something else, the Ohlins is better, but a fair bit dearer.

oil never deal with Fournales again !!!!!!!!!!! Hagon, wilbers, WP or Ohlins but not Fournales ! good product but a shoite company !

what your original Yamaha shock was saggy or the Ohlins ?

the ohlins is lovely an'ard [Image: wub.gif]

the original was fine for normal riding
but loaded and riding at speed (which is mostly what i do) it was saggy

but fitting the ohlins really showed up the crappy fork springs [Image: rolleyes.gif]

I've got a Hagon unit on mine, and whilst the unit itself is fine, because they build the thing 10mm longer than stock AS STANDARD, it jacks the arse end up the air to the point that my partner can't ride the thing, and I'm struggling with it. I specified stronger spring rate aswell to cope with panniers and two up riding, bbut by god the thing is tall. Bearing in mind that I have lowered the front of the bike by 20mm to make it turn easier (forks through yokes jobby), I am still struggling to reach the deck.

I've only done 350 miles on the shock, but am seriously considering putting the original back on, just so I can get me feet down easily.

Hagon will do a standard length shock, but that is a special order. Had I known that, I'd paid the little extra for it.


Of course, is someone is considering buying a new shock from Hagon, specify a standard length with uprated spring, and I'll gladly swap with you!!!!

I've got a Hagon monoshock which I haven't fitted yet (bought 2nd hand). I don't know whether it's the longer or standard length, do you know what the lengths are so that I can measure and find out? This is for a Mk2 4TX btw.

Hagon all the way.... Nice and ard stops the damn thing squatting when getting power on at the apex [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yahoo.gif[/img]

Had Ohlins(£549) on a Gixer and cost twice as much as Hagon(£255) and cant really tell the diffrence for road use, Hagon just as much fiddlesness as ohlins...

A good plus is that when you ring Hagon just tell the gizzeeer on other end of fone how much you weigh and they will put a harder spring on if you are big like me [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/clapping.gif[/img]

Yeah it is longer but unless you have little legs it shouldnt make that much diffrence [img]style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/good.gif[/img]
